CIO Spotlight – Mastering the Art of Digital Disruption

ROQ are very much looking forward to hosting yet another CIO Spotlight, with our next event proving to be our biggest and best to date. The CIO Spotlights series was established to address the business, technology and leadership issues facing IT thought leaders. The invitation only half-day events are designed to bring together CIOs and IT leaders from across the country to explore the issues surrounding large, enterprise-scale software programs, the benefits they drive and the importance of getting them right from inception.

The theme of our next CIO Spotlight is ‘Mastering the Art of Digital Disruption’ and will be held on Thursday 22nd February at The Merchant Taylors’ Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street, between 12.30pm – 5.00pm (including lunch).

The event will aim to cover a number of challenges currently facing the CIO community and has been designed with multiple sectors in mind. The afternoon will feature several sessions covering a range of topics and we have an excellent roster of speakers who will be joining us which includes:

  • Cathal Corcoran, CIO at Gatwick Airport who will be discussing the exciting digital developments that are being undertaken at the airport. Cathal has recently been recognised as one of the most influential people in UK IT and has over 17 years of experience leading digital, process and IT transformation across a range of sectors including aviation, oil and gas, aerospace and defence, high-tech manufacturing and telecoms.
  • Chris Lord, CTO at Babcock International Group who has worked in technology for 25 years and recently moved to Babcock International after three years as the Group CIO at Collinson Group. He will be discussing leadership in the digital age with a focus on the culture necessary to implement change.
  • Craig Ambler, IT Director at Center Parcs who is listed in the CIO 100 and is Center Parcs’ first ever Director of IT. Having held previous positions at Bupa and Capita Health and Wellbeing, Craig has a wealth of experience in digital technologies and an exciting story to share.

Numbers are limited, so please reserve your place now to avoid missing out and also read the write ups of our previous CIO Spotlight events.
