The Defectives University Challenge 2017 – Halloween Special

For the second time this year ROQ will be opening the doors of our Test Lab to university students from across the North West for a Defectives University Challenge, this time with ghosts and ghouls in store with a Halloween Special! Students will be given a brief introduction into software testing and then put their bug finding skills to the test as they compete against teams from other universities. The winner will be the team who scores the most points, with points being awarded for each defect found based on severity.

The Defectives was born in 2010 when we decided to create a series of fun competitions introducing the concept of software testing as a career to students working towards degrees in a wide range of disciplines. The popularity of The Defectives has grown year-on-year, and welcomes students from universities across the North West.

Keen to retain their title, having won at our last event in February will be Manchester Metropolitan University and having previously placed in second and third respectively Edge Hill and UCLAN will be intent on renewing their challenge as well as a host of other universities joining us on the night.
