Test Expo – ROQ Platinum Sponsors

ROQ had a great time meeting likeminded test professionals at this year’s TestExpo in London and we were proud to be Platinum sponsors.

The theme for the event was ‘Mind the Gap’ and aimed to highlight the perceived gap between the competencies of QA professionals today and what their organisations are demanding from them. ROQ exists to help leading companies unlock the full potential of their business through quality software – now and in the future. To deliver effective software in the digital age, testing needs to remain a priority and be at the forefront of innovation, not only in terms of being able to test pioneering development but also offering real innovation solutions in test.

ROQ’s Head of Innovation, Ian Smith delivered a talk entitled, ‘THE ROBOTS ARE COMING (but there’s no need to panic’ sharing his point of view on the impact AI will have on testing and offered thoughts and ideas around what you can do to move forward on your AI journey. From customer service chatbots to self-driving cars, AI has already begun to be adopted by some of the world’s most innovative companies. Machine learning will soon cross into the mainstream of software development, with more and more organisations looking to harness its power – resulting in non-deterministic behaviors in software becoming even more prevalent. The audience all enjoyed his talk very much and proved to be a discussion point at the ROQ stand for the rest of the day.

During the event we also collected market research from those in attendance and aim to share this with the wider community at our next webinar entitled ‘Bridging the Gap – Testing in the Future’ on Wednesday 6th December at 12.30GMT, further details to follow.
