Our client is a leading global, not-for-profit membership organisation that protects and supports the professional interests of doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals. It provides expert advice and assistance when members face complaints or claims arising from professional practice.

The Client Challenge 

The client was undertaking a significant CRM transformation, moving from an ageing legacy CRM to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, with bespoke elements and integrations across the wider technology estate.

This was a business-critical, organisation-wide programme the client needed to get over the line. However, they had no existing regression testing capability and no structured way to confirm whether changes would work as expected or whether new deployments could introduce failures elsewhere in the system.

Although the client had two in-house testers, the team did not have the specialist regression testing skills, capacity or breadth of experience needed to design and implement regression testing for such a complex CRM transformation with confidence.

What We Delivered 

As part off our Delivery Augmentation Solution, Roq assessed the client’s requirement and quickly established that there was no existing regression pack in place and a regression capability needed to be created from the ground up.

Roq mapped the client’s key processes and used this understanding to design and build a maintainable, modular regression pack.

The framework provided:

• A structured regression pack for the D365 CRM solution and its integrations

• Reusable test artefacts that could support future projects

• Building blocks for UAT activity

• A maintainable approach that the client’s own people could continue to use

• Practical upskilling for the in-house team, enabling them to run and maintain the pack themselves

Client Impact 

In just 3.5 months, Roq helped unblock this business-critical CRM transformation. The client moved from having no structured way to validate the system to having a practical, usable and maintainable regression pack that supported the D365 CRM go-live.

The client also now has a repeatable way to validate future change, increasing confidence in the stability of the CRM platform and its integrations.
